Tagliatella, meaning ‘"cut"’, is a blend of grappa, cherry juice, orange and other natural, aromatic components of the different liquori made at Nardini. It was created almost by accident a time when the distillery sold products on tap as well as in the bottle: As various tap handles were used, they would become loose and often drip. Nardini decided to barrel age and bottle these tap drippings, which over the years has developed a huge fan base.

Tasting Notes

Tagliatella is fruity with predominant aromas of cherry, citrus and summer fruits which follow through on the palate, followed by a bittersweet finish.

Production Process
Distillation:

The grape pomace is collected within 24 hours of the winemaking process and it gets stored and sealed in underground vats during the period of time between September and October. The distillation process starts in October and lasts— 24 hours a day—until May. This basic grappa used for the Tagliatella version is made in a discontinuous, vacuum-packed steam still.  The grappa is thereafter transferred to the post-modern plant in Bassano del Grappa where it is brought to its final stage (alcoholic reduction to 35% and cold filtration) and bottled.
